Partner-Managed Properties

Partner properties are listings managed by external agencies or partners who bring properties into your portfolio. Argonautas supports tracking these relationships, configuring commission splits, and filtering reports by partner.

What Are Partner Properties?

A partner property is any listing where an external party (a local agency, a property management partner, or a referral partner) is involved in managing or sourcing the property. The property appears in your portfolio like any other, but the partner relationship affects:

  • Revenue splits -- A commission or management fee goes to the partner.
  • Access and visibility -- Partners may have limited access to view their properties.
  • Reporting -- Financial reports can be filtered by partner for reconciliation.

Setting Up a Partner

  1. Navigate to Settings > Partners.
  2. Click Add Partner.
  3. Enter the partner details:
    • Name -- Company or individual name.
    • Contact email -- Primary contact for communications.
    • Commission structure -- Percentage of booking revenue or a flat management fee.
  4. Save.

Linking Properties to a Partner

  1. Open a property in Properties.
  2. Go to the Management tab.
  3. Select the Partner from the dropdown.
  4. Configure the commission rate if it differs from the partner's default.
  5. Save.

Filtering by Partner

Throughout Argonautas, you can filter views by partner:

  • Properties list -- Filter to show only a specific partner's properties.
  • Bookings list -- See bookings for partner properties only.
  • Financial reports -- Generate partner-specific revenue and commission reports.
  • Owner statements -- Include or exclude partner properties.

Partner Portal Access

Partners can optionally receive limited access to view their properties:

  • Calendar and availability for their properties.
  • Booking details and guest information.
  • Financial summaries and commission statements.

Access is configured per partner in Settings > Partners > Access.

Revenue Splits

When a booking is completed for a partner property, the system automatically calculates:

  • Gross revenue -- Total accommodation charges.
  • Partner commission -- Based on the configured structure.
  • Net revenue -- What your company retains after the partner's share.

These figures appear in the booking detail and in financial reports.

Common Questions

Can a property belong to both an owner and a partner? Yes. The owner receives their share of revenue, and the partner receives their commission. The splits are calculated independently.

What happens if I change a partner's commission rate? The new rate applies to future bookings. Existing bookings retain the rate that was active when created.
