Reusing Rate Templates

Season Templates are reusable date ranges that define when each pricing season applies. Create a template once, assign it to any number of properties, then set rates per property within each season. This approach eliminates duplicate date-range entry and keeps your pricing consistent.

The Sequential Workflow

Rate setup in Argonautas follows three steps in order:

1. Create a Season Template -- Define the date range and give it a name, a partner, and a color.
2. Price the villas -- Give each villa a rate for that template, one at a time or with Bulk Assign.
3. Adjust per villa -- Change minimum stays, discounts, and guest pricing on each villa's rate.

This order matters. A villa rate always belongs to a template, so create the template first.

Creating a Season Template

1. Navigate to Rates & Pricing › Seasons.
2. Click New Template.
3. Enter a Template Name (e.g., "High Season 2026") and the Year.
4. Choose the Partner, or Direct (no partner).
5. Set the Start Date and End Date.
6. Optionally choose a Calendar Color.
7. Click Create Season Template.

A season can run across the new year. A "High Season" template might run from December 1 through April 30.

Pricing the Villas

To price one villa, switch the Seasons tab to By villa and click the empty cell for that villa and season, or click Add Rate. Fill in the form and click Assign Rate.

To price many villas at once:

1. Go to Rates & Pricing › Seasons and click Bulk Assign.
2. Select the template.
3. Set the currency, weekend premium, and default minimum stay.
4. Select the villas.
5. Enter each villa's nightly rate, or type one amount and click Fill All.
6. Click Assign to Properties.

Setting Rates

Each villa rate (a Property Season) holds the villa's pricing for that template:

Field	Description
Nightly Rate	Base price per night
Weekend Premium	Additional charge for Friday and Saturday nights
Minimum Stay (Arrival)	Minimum nights for a stay arriving in this season
Base Guests	Number of guests included in the nightly rate
Extra Guest Fee per Night	Per-night charge for each guest above the base
Length of Stay Discounts	Percentage off from a minimum number of nights
Last-Minute Discounts	Percentage off when booked close to arrival

Rolling Templates to Next Year

At the start of each planning cycle:

1. On the Seasons tab, pick the current year.
2. Click the duplicate button on the template's row (Duplicate to another year).
3. Choose the Target Year and confirm. The dates shift by the year offset.
4. Price the villas for the new template, with Bulk Assign or one at a time.

Common Questions

Can I delete a template that is in use? No. A template assigned to properties cannot be deleted. Remove its villa rates first.

What happens if two templates overlap for the same property? If one sits fully inside the other, the shorter one prices the dates they share. Two seasons that only partly overlap on the same villa are rejected.
