Property Setup Video Tutorial

This guide walks you through creating a property listing from start to finish. Follow along step by step to get your first property live and ready for bookings.

Note: Video content is being produced. In the meantime, follow the written steps below.

Prerequisites

Before starting, make sure you have:

• Admin or Property Manager access to Argonautas.
• Property photos ready to upload (minimum 10, JPEG or PNG, at least 1024 × 683 px).
• Property details: address or map location, bedroom and bathroom count, max guests.
• Rate information: nightly rates by season, minimum stay requirements.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Create the Property

1. Open Properties from the sidebar.
2. Click Add Property. The Create Property window opens.
3. Fill in the Property section:
   • Property Name: use a memorable name, such as "Casa del Sol".
   • Property Type: Villa, House, Apartment, and so on.
   • Owner: the property's owner (or, for a partner property, the partner).
   • Max Guests: the most guests allowed, including children.
4. Fill in the Location section: Country and City.
5. Click Save & Edit. The property opens on its Property tab.

Step 2: Add Rooms and the Map Location

1. On the Property tab, enter Bedrooms, Bathrooms, and Half Baths.
2. Under Bedroom Configuration, click Add Bedroom and Add Bed to describe the beds in each room.
3. Under Map Location, click the map to drop a pin, drag the marker to adjust it, or search for an address.
4. Click Save.

Step 3: Configure Amenities

1. Open the Amenities tab.
2. Select every amenity the property offers. WiFi, pool, air conditioning, kitchen, parking, and washer or dryer matter most on the OTAs.
3. Click Save.

Step 4: Upload Photos

1. Open the Media tab.
2. Upload your images to the Photo Gallery.
3. Set the primary photo and drag the rest into order.
4. Add captions for accessibility and search.
5. Make sure you have at least 10 photos covering every room and the outdoor areas.

Step 5: Set Rates

1. Open the Pricing tab.
2. Enter the Base Nightly Rate. It applies whenever no season covers the date.
3. Under Seasons & Overrides, add the dates that are priced differently, or click Manage all seasonal rates to work in Rates & Pricing.
4. Click Save.

Step 6: Check Listing Readiness

While a property is missing something the booking channels need, a readiness strip appears at the top of the property page. It reads, for example, "2 of 6 checks failing", and lists each failing check, such as too few photos, too few amenities, a short description, no map location, or no rates.

1. Click a failing check. Argonautas opens the tab where you fix it.
2. Fix the issue and save.
3. When every check passes, the strip disappears and the property is ready for channel distribution.
