Owner Financials
The financials section of the owner portal gives property owners a view of how their villas are performing. Revenue data is calculated in real time from booking records.
Overview
The financials page is accessible from the owner portal sidebar under Financials. It currently provides:
- A dashboard with summary revenue cards
- Revenue breakdown by period and property
- Property comparison for multi-villa owners
Coming soon: Net payout calculations (revenue after management fees and commissions), owner statements, and payout history are planned enhancements that are not yet available. The financials page currently shows gross revenue.
Financial Dashboard
At the top of the financials page, summary cards show key figures for the selected period:
| Metric | Description |
|---|---|
| Total Revenue | Gross income from all bookings in the selected period |
| Bookings | Number of completed bookings in the period |
A monthly trend chart shows revenue over time, making it easy to spot seasonal patterns.

Filters
All financial data responds to two filters at the top of the page:
- Property -- View all properties combined or select a specific villa. Multi-property owners see an aggregated view by default.
- Period -- Current month, last month, last 3 months, last 6 months, year to date, last year, next 90 days, rest of year, or a custom date range with start and end pickers.
Changing filters updates all sections on the page immediately.
Past vs. Forecast Mode
Selecting Next 90 Days or Rest of Year switches the page into forecast mode. In forecast mode:
- The KPI cards (Total Revenue, Bookings, Nights Occupied) re-label to reflect confirmed future bookings rather than completed revenue.
- A Payment Timeline section appears below the monthly breakdown, showing when scheduled payments for upcoming bookings are expected to be collected.
Select any historical period to return to normal past-performance mode.
Revenue Breakdown
The revenue breakdown shows gross income from bookings organized by period. Each figure represents what guests paid before any deductions.
Comparing Properties
Owners with multiple properties can compare revenue side by side. When "All Properties" is selected, the breakdown shows each property as a row with its revenue for the selected period.
Currency Handling
Argonautas supports both USD (US dollars) and CRC (Costa Rican colones). Each property has a configured currency, and all financial figures display in that currency.
- Single-property view -- Amounts are shown in the property's currency.
- Multi-property view -- If your properties use different currencies, totals are converted to your company's default currency using the current exchange rate, with a note indicating the conversion.
Currency symbols and formatting follow standard conventions ($1,234.56 for USD, CRC 750,000 for colones).
Key Concepts
- Gross revenue -- Total income before any deductions. This is what guests paid. The financials page currently shows gross revenue.
- Net payout -- The amount you receive after all fees, commissions, and expenses are subtracted. Net payout display is a planned feature.
- ADR (Average Daily Rate) -- Total accommodation revenue divided by nights booked. A measure of pricing performance.
Common Questions
Can I see individual booking revenue? Yes. You can view any booking by clicking it in the bookings section of the owner portal, which shows the amounts charged for that stay.
Can I export financial data? Export options are planned alongside net payout and statement features.
What currency are amounts shown in? Each property displays in its configured currency (USD or CRC). Multi-property views convert to the company default currency.
